Paul De Martini
Paul De Martini provides management consulting regarding customer-centric business models, integration of distributed energy resources and grid modernization. He brings successful experience in transforming utility operations, building successful energy services firms and growing technology ventures globally. Paul is also a Board Director at Bit Stew and Enbala Power Networks, and advisor to Chrysalix Energy Venture Capital and several greentech firms.
Formerly, he was Chief Technology & Strategy Officer for Cisco’s Energy Networks business unit and VP, Advanced Technology at Southern California Edison where he led SCE’s $2 billion grid modernization and transportation electrification efforts. Prior to SCE, he led ICF International’s Energy Strategy practice and was an officer at three leading energy services firms. He began his career at PG&E in electric T&D operations, engineering and construction, and wholesale markets.
Paul is a visiting scholar at the Resnick Sustainability Institute at Caltech. He holds an MBA from the University of Southern California, a BS from the University of San Francisco and technology management certificate from Caltech. He is an emeritus member of DOE’s Gridwise Architecture Council, a senior member of IEEE and a State of California certified electric system operator.
